Online renewal for Registered Veterinary Technicians is now available! RVT's are able to renew their registration online beginning January 2, 2009 until May 1, 2009. Renewal applications submitted after May 1st, must be mailed to the Board office.
To be eligible to renew online, you must have an active registration in Ohio. To renew your registration, go to https://license.ohio.gov/secure/default.asp select the "License Renewal" link and follow the online instructions. If you experience a problem with renewing online and you cannot complete the process during your session the licensing system will save the information you entered and allow you to logon at a later time to continue OR stop and renew by completing and mailing the paper application. To renew online you will need to have the following information prior to entering the website:
If you are unable or choose not to renew your registration online, you may renew your registration by mail. Complete the renewal form that was mailed to you and return it to the Ohio Veterinary Medical Licensing Board postmarked by March 1, 2009, to avoid late fees. Very Important: Your "user ID number" and "password" for online renewal is sensitive information. DO NOT share or transfer this information to anyone else. If you misplace your user ID number or password, you must contact the Board, in writing, to request the information. This information will NOT be provided to you through email or by telephone. The Board will mail a new renewal form to you. Continuing Education: If this is your first renewal period and you are exempt from submitting CE hours, you will need to respond "Yes" to the question online and type in "first time renewal" in the CE description field. Your
registration expires on March 1, 2009 and you cannot legally provide veterinary
technician care in Ohio after that date. If you have any questions regarding
the online renewal process, please contact the Board office at 614-644-5281
